Aspiring Artists Invited to Submit Work for New Mobile GalleryPosted by: April on Dec 17, 2009 |

Aspiring artists are invited to submit their work for the new City of Ottawa C4 Gallery - a travelling showcase with an emphasis on contemporary, conceptual, compartmental and community art. Submissions will be accepted by mail or by hand until Monday January 11, 2010 at 3 p.m.
The request for submissions is open to all residents (young, older, amateur or professional artists, etc.) living within a 150-kilometre radius of the City of Ottawa. Participants must be Canadian citizens or have landed immigrant status.
The City of Ottawa is excited to launch the first C4 Gallery temporary art exhibition. Please join us in a celebration of Ottawa’s diverse artistic community.
Hintonburg Community Centre - Wellington Room

The current exhibit’s feature artists include:
Mary Bramley, Malinda Caron, Michelle Casey, Cool Youth Group, Anna Coulombe, Gabriel Dale-Hill, Liz Dodds, Doug Garrow, Hemant Gunhan, Catherine Gutsche, Mike Hinchcliff, Robert James, Vivian Joynt, Manami Kawahara, Analisa Kiskis, Zivana Kostic, Junlan (Ji) Li, Alisdair MacRae, Chris Maveety, Cynthia O’Brien, Nirmolak Singh Saggu, Shannon Whittle, Kelly Xu, and Amy Zhou
Public and community-based art is found all around the city in municipal buildings, open spaces, pedestrian corridors, roadways, and transit ways. It is meant to create a unique sense of place, a destination, a focal point for activity or meeting places.
