Operation Come Home (OCH) prevents homeless youth from becoming homeless adults! OCH accomplishes this mission be providing homeless youth ages 16-30 with a variety of programs and services designed to assist youth in becoming contributing members of our community. Today, OCH provides supported employment and education; social enterprises; street outreach; drop-in and emergency services and our original reunite program designed to assist runaway youth return home to their families. Operation Come Home provides services to more than 350+ youth per year and had more than 5,000+ contacts in 2009. On Thursday, October 7th 2010 Operation Come Home is hosting an evening of wine, hors d'oeuvres and fine art appreciation. This event is a major fundraising initiative, and OCH depends on the funds raised to continue to provide vital services to our clientele. Tickets for the event will be sold to customers for $100 each. In return they will enjoy time to peruse the space which will be adorned with various types of fine art donated from artists in our community and elsewhere. Each ticket holder will be guaranteed to leave the evening with a piece of art of their choosing. Tickets will be drawn at random and items will be picked in that order. The success of this fundraising event depends on the generosity of our art community, which is why we write to you today. All donations are greatly appreciated and help to make our evening more spirited. It goes without saying that it also promotes positive recognition for your business as your generosity is paired with that of our other guests, corporate sponsors and local media. We hope that you will consider our request and support our event. If you choose to donate a piece of your artwork (any discipline, minimum value $100), we would be happy to provide you with a tax receipt for the FULL fair-market value of your donation.
