National Conference for Visual Artists Schedule

Come meet your fellow artists in the mountains and discuss the issues that are important to you such as marketing, artists’ fees and public funding. The National Conference for Visual Artists will be held May 14th and 15th at the Banff Centre for the Arts.

Conference Schedule
Thursday, May 13th
4:30 – 6:30 pm: Gallery Hop

Friday, May 14th
2:00: Registration
2:30: Opening Remarks
2:45 pm: Speaker: TBA
4:30 pm: Legal Clinic – Space is limited*
7:00 pm: Ron Terada Opening, Walter Phillips Gallery

Saturday, May 15th
9:30 am: Opening Remarks
9:45 am: Marketing Worksop
11:30: Break
12:30: CARFAC Annual General Meeting
3:00: Panel: How do artists get paid? – Panellists TBA
4:30: Breakout groups
5:15: Closing Remarks
7:00 – 9:00 pm: Networking Event TBA

$40 for CARFAC members
$50 for non-members
$25 for students

The registration fee includes access to all conference events. It is up to participants to arrange their own travel, accommodations and food. Some of the options available are included in the registration package which can be found on the CARFAC website.
