Deja Vu IISaturday

Organizers of the Fifth Annual Old Ottawa South Art and Music Festival are pleased to invite you to the festival on:
Sat. Sept. 19th from 10am to 5pm.
115 artists, 24 authors, 8 musical acts - no admission fee.
Located in beautiful Windsor Park - off Riverdale - accessible from Main St. and Bank St. near the Ottawa River - follow the signs the day of the show. Delicious food available at the show. Come spend the day with us.

Three local artists are featured in the new tv show "Star Portraits" this Saturday, September 19 at 8 pm on Bravo!
Senator and retired General Roméo Dallaire is the subject for artists Carrie Colton, Elaine Goble and Reid McLachlan. They have two weeks to get to know this remarkable man and to somehow capture his life and character on canvas! Tune in and learn more about this truly amazing Canadian hero and the artistic processes behind the three artists trying to portray him.
This is the only episode shot in Ottawa and is considered one of the most powerful of the series.

This Saturday, 19 September 2009, at 3 p.m., Remic Rapids Park, Ottawa.
Claire Elizabeth Barratt of Cilla_Vee Dance Movement Projects and members of Natasha Royka's Dance Space/637, Ottawa, will combine elements of American dance pioneer Isadora Duncan, Japanese Butoh dance and Motion Sculpture, a movement style developed by Barratt based on the esthetic ideal of the human becoming an art object. The dancers will be accompanied on Shakuhachi flute by Debbie Danbrook. This will be Barratt's fifth performance amidst the sculptures at this site.
In past performances, dancers clad in flowing garments typically move into a pose and hold it for a minute or more before slowly morphing into another pose. Some dancers perform on shore while others venture into the water, sometimes interacting with the sculptures and each other. Bring your camera along for a most interesting and inspiring experience. This link will provide a selection of images from the 2008 performance by Claire and her dancers.    http://www.jfceprano.com/photo02.html
