Les scientifiques prédisent que l’Arctique canadien sera ouvert à la navigation d’ici 20 à 50 ans. Une compétition internationale pour les ressources naturelles de cette partie du globe est à prévoir, et le Canada ne veut pas être en reste. Reste à savoir si nous avons les moyens de nos ambitions et si nous sommes en mesure d’assurer notre souveraineté sur les eaux arctiques canadiennes.
