Glamazons vs. Champions 

Last week, adorably dumb LaShauwn Beyond was sent home for his lack of confidence on the mainstage and because Billy B. hated him. Lame. But he wasn't going to make it very far. 

SheMail arrives and Ms. Ru is talking about all of her songs like "Covergirl," and "Glamazon". Mr. Ru shares a video of a fan of Ru's named Piyah Martell who was born without legs. The queens are touched by her story and have to create a butterfly-inspired headress in her honour. They are varying degrees of fabulous, with Latrice Royale and Milan's number not even staying on the mannequin head. Phi Phi, Kenya and Jiggly take the win. Phi Phi and Kenya win a coin toss to be team captains. 

The main challenge has the girl's producing an infomercial based on Ru's two albums, Champion and Glamazon. There is another school-yard pick for teams and Madame LaQueer is picked last yet again. No one finds her very talented. Each girl is pitching one specific song.  

Team Glamazon

Milan takes over the team, even though Kenya is the team leader. When Ru comes in, he asks Kenya questions that Milan flat-out answers. He is kind of coming off the worst.  Milan decides they will have an 80s theme. The Princess really screws up his lines, and can't seem to get them right. Willam is a bit deranged in her clip, and Milan pitches a Whitney Houston song instead of Ru's, which is beyond dumb. Kenya is entertaining Ru with her usual zaniness. 

Team Champion

Phi Phi is stressed out with all they have to do, but the team is working well together for the most part. At the taping, the team performs unevenly. Sharon Needles' goth routine (which Phi Phi made her do), and Dida Ritz's flat reading are particularly called out as not so good. Phi Phi, on the other hand, thinks she does great (doesn't she always?). Jiggly seems to not understand comedy timing. Michelle and Ru's reaction shots when the girls are screwing up their lines and/or songs are really priceless. Just the utter disbelief. 

Judges

Ru introduces the judges in a fun space-agey dress. Michelle and Santino (I am glad he is here instead of Billy B.) are joined by Amber Riley (Mercedes from Glee, of course) and Natalie Cole, who once sang a duet with her deceased father. 

Mainstage

Milan: This is s Solid Gold look complete with giant afro. It is very Diana Ross, and the gold jumper thing is pretty fly. 

Chad Michaels: Chad looks like Cher, as always, but her gold dress is very pretty. 

Willam: Willam is wearing a weird dress that is sort of like ropes and chains. His man nipples are completely visible and it is a bit distracting. I feel like he needed a boustier at least. 

Sharon Needles: Sharon's look is a bit 50s, but also futuristic. She sort of has Elvis hair, and then a silver blazer and gold bikini bottom. It works, in the weird Sharon Needles-y way. 

Phi Phi O'Hara: Phi Phi is wearing a short silver dress that Michelle says is very Vanessa Williams. I say that it looks like Vanessa Wiliam's sister's elderly aunt (trademark: Tom Haverford). She looks so old! When will the judges finally talk about this?

Madame LaQueer: Madame is a mess on the runway today. She is in a silver body suit that is a completely unforgiving material and we can see every jiggle. It isn't cut well for her body and she looks stuffed into it. She also has lime green hair and accents which aren't glamorous. 

The Princess: The Princess's look is very similar to Ru's this week, in that she has a white and silver outfit with a wrapping hood thing. The Princess's is a body suit, and she is bald (wiggles). 

Jiggly Caliente: Jiggly is wearing a sort of bubble dress, but one that she fills out completely so it is more like a body suit. It is fun and I like her hair. 

Dida Ritz: Finally a better wig from Dida this week. Her skimpy dress is ok too, but the hair is a big improvement. 

Latrice Royale: Ru gives a shout out to Ron Sexsmith (or so I like to think) by saying "there's gold in them there hills" at Latrice's look. Latrice owns the stage in her short, belted, gold look. What I love about Latrice is that she is a big girl, but she dresses her body really well, so you don't focus on that at all. She just owns it, and it is great. 

Kenya Michaels: Kenya has a short silver and gold dress that is very architectural. She looks good, as usual, but The Peanut Gallery points out that her stomping runway walk is not good. It is very 90s modelling, and I think the problem is that she is stomping on her heels, not her toes. 

The judges critique begins, and half of the girls are sent away. Madame LaQueer is told that her look is weak, and that her video performance wasn't good. Chad is complimented for his acting and his look. The Princess is told that her performance was flat and that she needs to try harder to be bold. Kenya is praised for her "Glamazon" animalistic performance. Dida Ritz is praised for her runway look, but rightfully critiqued by Amber Riley for looking uncomfortable in the video. That is right, Dida. A 22-year old star of Glee just told you what is what. 

It is a toss up between Sharon Needles and Kenya for the winner this week, and Sharon takes it. Talk about a dark horse for the season. Madame LaQueer is safe (although they didn't like her very much). Dida Ritz and The Princess are in the bottom two and will have to lip sync for their liiiiiiiiiiiives. 

The song is "This will be (an everlasting love)" by Natalie Cole. How fun. Both of these syncing performances start off pretty slowly and weakly. Dida Ritz finally turns up the energy, and makes Natalie Cole proud. The Princess's bald look really hurt her in this lip sync, just because she looks so spacey and odd. Dida Ritz is asked to shante, and stay while The Princess is sent sashaying away. 

Hidden Gems

• Milan did not come off very well in this episode. Between the taking over the challenge, and then hocking a Whitney song, it wasn't a good week for her. 
  
  
• I am surprised that Madame LaQueer avoided the bottom two today…her infomercial performance was crappy and her outfit was terrible. 
  
  
• It just wasn't a strong week all around for the performances. Sharon Needles won, and I didn't feel like her jokes were landing at all. 
  
  
• Latrice is still my favourite queen, though Sharon is making in-roads too. 
  
  
• Phi Phi and Madame LaQueer are on the top of my dislikes. Phi Phi is so full of herself and doesn't have the looks to back it up (but totally thinks she does). Madame LaQueer is just strange and I haven't seen much from her that is interesting.
