AMY WINEHOUSE
Lioness: Hidden Treasures
www.amywinehouse.com
Dist: Universal Music Canada
Following her tragic passing in July, some of the producers and musicians who worked closely with Amy Winehouse spent time listening over the many recordings that Amy had made, before, during, and after the release of “Frank” and “Back To Black”. It was said by all who worked with Amy that she never sang or played a song the same way twice. It quickly became apparent to Salaam and Mark that they had a collection of songs that deserved to be heard, a collection of songs that were a fitting testament to Amy the artist and, as importantly, Amy their friend. The 12 track collection features previously unreleased tracks, alternate versions of existing classics as well as a couple brand new Amy compositions. Lioness: Hidden Treasures proves a fitting tribute to the artist, the talent and the woman and serves as a reminder of Amy’s extraordinary powers as a songwriter, a singer and an interpreter of classics.

Korn embrace the future of The Path of Totality, their tenth full-length studio album and second for Roadrunner Records. Infusing dub step anarchy into their signature sound, the legendary quartet stands on the cusp of a musical revolution for both hard rock and electronica. Korn are no strangers to revolution though. In Fact, they’ve been purveyors of heavy music’s progression since forming in Bakersfield, CA in 1994 and becoming one of the most influential entitles that the genre has ever seen.
THE BLACK KEYS El Camino
www.theblackkeys.com
Dist: Warner Music Canada
Reviewing The Black Keys' 2010 Top Ten breakthrough album Brothers, Rolling Stone called the duo "a two-man combo with a big-band mind." That description seems downright prophetic now. With the hard-rocking El Camino, The Black Keys' fourth Nonesuch release, guitarist-singer Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney conjure up an exhilarating, stadium-sized sound in collaboration with producer and friend Danger Mouse. El Camino boasts a no-nonsense brilliance: The pace is fast, the mood is upbeat, the choruses unfailingly addictive — made for shouting along, preferably in a large, sweaty crowd. A band already at the top of its game has gotten even better.

CHARLOTTE GAINSBOURG Stage Whisper
www.charlottegainsbourg.com
Dist: Warner Music Canada
Stage Whisper includes seven studio recordings and eleven live songs. Many of the studio tracks come from sessions for IRM, one of the most celebrated albums of 2010. Terrible Angels, written by Beck, is an immediate electro hit starring a deliberately deadly Charlotte Gainsbourg, Paradisco draws her onto the dance floor of a night club run by New Order, while All the Rain and White Telephone sound as if a prayer has been answered – or a spell cast. Then it’s time to leave Beck behind and team up with Charly Fink from Noah & The Whale for Got to Let Go, a ballad for thwarted runaway lovers; with rising star Connor Mockassin on an aquatic, psychedelic Out of Touch; and with young prodigy Conor J. O’Brien (aka The Villagers), whose poignant folk song Memoir provides a majestic conclusion to this pocket epic.
